Each people have their clutter in their homes. From those years we gathered and accumulated a lot of stuffs like grandma’s beloved chine, that training equipment we no longer we use and others. A client may become upset by seeing the number of things you have stored in your home. It is because clients always want to see simplicity and unconsciously they want to see if all of their stuff would fit in.
Try getting three boxes, one box for item that is need to be thrown, another one for keeping and storage, and the last box would contain items you want to sell. Starting from your room to every room possible in your house and do not give up until you have sorted them out and you are only left with a few stuffs. Do not forget to include your extra clothing and shoes inside your drawers and closets. Try leaving a few things to live by up until your home is sold.
Clear out personal items
Clients would also not like to see your photos of your family or perhaps painting of your children at the living and surely the would also expect a clear refrigerator door that does not clogged with notes and other photos. You can put them away inside your second box where you keep your stuff to be stored.
You can start off polishing the wooden floor (if you have one), cleaning the window pane until they sparkle. Same goes to the remaining stuffs inside the house like sliding doors, mirrors and others. Then work your skill in cleaning the kitchen floor, countertops and sinks. In addition, clean out the kitchen drawers, cupboards and shelves. Cleaning them out might get messier so try managing it.
Same applies to your garden, make sure to cut the grass, unwanted trees, and trim off some of the bushes that are overgrown. Flowers will make your garden elegant, you may also include some planters and hanging baskets. In case you have a balcony why not include them in your cleaning procedure and rearrange the furniture there.
Even though this is an option but it would be a leverage to hire a home inspector. In this way you can be 100% sure that your house is good to go and if not the inspector will tell all the possible repairs that is needed to be done. Rarely other buyers would get their own home inspector to check out the house.
Hope these tips will help sell your real estate at a higher value and in no time.
